Paw Prints

Hello everybody!

While Ron and Jan are in the cellar vacuuming water up from today's rain, I thought I would take the time to get aquainted with Blogger software. Did you know that Shetland Sheepdogs are the 6th smartest dog of all dogs in the AKC? And from what I have seen in my Uncle Bear, I am one of the smarter Shelties because, not only can outrun him, I can out-think him as well. That being modestly said, I understand though that I am not exactly what they consider a handsome, or standard Sheltie. For some stupid reason my ears stayed pricked and did not flip over like a proper Sheltie's ears should and they tend to work independently of one another and they look like satelitte dishes turning. Then there are these looooonnggg legs that I have, which make me a little taller than I should be, but they make me a little faster and that is good thing when Uncle Bear is trying to bite my butt! My colouring is good. I am a sable colour, with black, tan and white on me. I wish I had a blaze on my forehead like this watercolour of me because it would make me look quite dashing and debonair. So, anyway, whenever I get a chance, I will add my two cents in here and you will get a sneak peak into Church Street Cellars from my point of view (20 inches off the floor is the view to be exact!).

Up and Running

Well, we have finally got this blog up and running. Welcome to Church Street Cellars. We are Ron and Jan and the true boss of the cellars is a Shetland Sheepdog named Grover Cleveland, who goes by Cleveland. The cellars are part of a 1890 Folk Victorian house in Stafford, Ct. There is a granite ledge that runs the entire front foundation of the house, and we, being wine and beer people, found the cellar of this house perfect for this pastime of ours. This, our first post, will be short, for we would like to go and see what all we are to fill in and fill out to truly personalize this blog and make it our own.
