Well, here I sit. We woke up to a street which was a sheet of ice. Cleveland and I went ice skating out the front walk this morning. So, since this is only my second winter in New England and I am still a chicken driver, I am sitting here waiting for the sun to come up and the roads to clear a bit before I go to work.
The snow plow has gone up the road spreading sand and salt, a blessing in the middle of winter and a curse in the middle of summer, when my front walkway flower bed is more sand than loom and the flowers require watering almost daily. Last summer, we put more compost in that one small bed than all others. I thought I would post a picture of August, to remind me that warm weather will come again.
I guess I should venture forth and take a look at the roads. Ron has started the cars and my heart is racing at the prospect of driving 20 miles to work!
Stay Warm!
